Egypt's Culture Minister Faruq Hosni: "I'd burn Israeli books myself if I found any in libraries in Egypt"

Peace Arab style: If you can't beat them, fight them or love them, then burn their books.

To be cool or accepted in Egypt, you must do Israel bashing. If God forbid you compliment the Jewish state in any way you are condemned for dealing with the enemy that Egypt have a peace treaty with!

For fairness sake, I came to know personally, years ago, Faruq Hosni when he was the director of the Egyptian Cultural Center in Paris. And he seemed to be a genuinely liberal, modern, progressive, and pro-European. And I tend to believe that during his tenure as Culture Minister, he tried to be on the side of modernity. But times has changed dramatically backwards and the Tsunami of the last thirty years of Wahabi islamic fundamentalism, swept any one that got out of line. Especially a Culture Minister that would allow Israeli books be sold in Egyptian libraries, lest some muslim Egyptians read them, and consequently becomes illuminated civilized humans.

I would advise all muslims to burn all books and theories of Einstein's, Sigmund Freud, and hundreds of other jewish scientists. And stop using the polio vaccine developed by Jonas Salk, to have. All these people are included in the 17 curses a day, and use the islamic scientific medical wonders, they so much boast about to congest our ears, the black seed that cures every disease except death, the seven dates in the morning to keep you healthy and keep the devils away, the camel urine, the fly wing (the one with the cure, not the one with the disease), and the honey for diabetics. If all this islamocology doesn't cure muslims, then Allah will be on our side, and it will save us money from the war on terror.

Having said this, it's a no, niet, nicht, non, et absolument pas, to put at the head of the UNESCO, a Culture Minister from a country that made hate, discrimination, persecution, slander, kidnaping of Christian girls, terrorism, and death the only culture they excelled in promoting for the last forty years.

Oh, by the way, Faruk Hosni was considered a moderate muslim, but since islam is a disease, moderates get very easily infected.

Egypt's Culture Minister Faruq Hosni, a candidate to head UNESCO, has drawn fire from Israel for his "burning books" comment, which he said was taken out of context.

"I'd burn Israeli books myself if I found any in libraries in Egypt," Hosni said in parliament on May 10 in reply to questioning from an opposition MP.

The comment, which Hosni admits making but which he says must be put into perspective, sparked an official protest from Israel's ambassador in Cairo Shalom Cohen to the foreign ministry.

In his defense, Hosni told AFP that he had only used "a popular expression to prove something exists," -- to be specific, Israeli books in Egyptian libraries.

"A minister of culture cannot demand that a book be burnt, and that includes an Israeli book," he added, and pointed out he had spoken in favor of Israeli books being translated into Arabic during a televised debate on the subject.

This week, the international Simon Wiesenthal Centre wrote to the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation director general Koichiro Matsuura, saying that Hosni had now ruled himself out as a possible successor to head the Paris-based body.

Heres the thing: They have a holy bible that tells them that it is holy and good to lie to anyone that does not believe this "Bible" 100% worth - this Bible also says that it is a good and holy thing to murder completely innocent people in cold blood. So. ergo, why in God's name would you believe any of them?

Also, they'll be hanged for apostacy if they so much as act un-brainwashed. Shoot, they'll be hanged for adultery for mingling with the opposite sex. You're talking about a culture where 99% of the women have undergone Type II or III genital mutilation and claims to not live under the Shariah, but actually does, only they call it a 'secular democracy' - that just so happens to abide by the Shariah to the letter, and where the law says otherwise (like when it comes to allowing Christians to rebuild their blown-up churches or allow practitioners of Ba'hai to obtain identity cards or to condeming slavery, honor killing, or female genital mutilation, which is illegal but still takes place in government hospitals every single day). Sick people, and probably the best at taqiyya or all the Arabs.

Dear Ibn, you good and brave man. The Koran is much more influential than that other famous book, MEIN KAMPF. However, there is a difference - a very important difference. Mein Kampf was never considered by it's German believers to be tantamount and exactly equal to Commands from God - not divine. However, the Koran is considered just that and more! If I call it a BOOK, readers will fail to appreciate the importance this 'liars Bible' has on the believers and who now walk mindlessly, lock-step, down death's highway. Actually, the Koran is held in even higher esteem than we hold our Bible (which it claims to be our Bible, our real Bible - the only real Christian and Jewish Bible in the whole universe). We can interpret our Bible and have opinons about it - but such speculation means death or harsh punishment for the Robots of Islam. But, Mein Kampf was not nearly as dangerous as the Koran, and no book in the world has ever been half so dangerous as the Mighty Koran - precisely because it is, for one billion humans, the living word of God which cannot be disobeyed. To call it a mere 'book' is to greatly minimize the deadliness of this Satanic Bible which clearly encourages the cold-blooded murder of totally innocent people. Mein Kampf is fuddy-duddy compared to the evil profundities of an evil Bible named the Koran.

I don't mean to in any way give the impression that Ibn is not 100% correct in all he teaches us on this wonderful an brave site -- It is just that the people I meet regard the Koran as a kind of 'Book of Traditions' - a kind of vaguely worded epic poem from which people take personal inspiration - they when they attempt to read it, and failing always to understand the deadly literalness of it, they think, "how prosaic!" and they they go into a dream of 1001 nights - so, I tried this tack - I call it a religion and a real religion with a real Bible so that they can at last begin to under-stand the extreme danger inherent in regarding Islam as something one can sleep comfortably in the presences of. But of course I agree 100% with what Ibn says also - but, if it is a tradition, then who cares if or if not it calls for the cold-blooded murders of totally innocent people - those kind of words and situations are always found in "traditional stories". The reason westerners do not get our message, is because they have all been taught from babyhood that Islam is set of traditions like the Hindoos have - so they are not shocked to read that the Enemies of Allah should be murdered for simply trying to live their own lives - how to break this unfortunate impression? Point out to westerners that Islam is a real serious REAL religion with a deadly serious bible ruling over it in deadly earnest. But Ibn, please do not think in any way that I am critical of you or in disagreement - All my love, Hal
